The Global Technology Sourcing Team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The Silicon Commercial Sourcing Manager will act as the lead commercial contact for AI & compute silicon/SOC sourcing across the Meta supply base, while developing optionality on sources of supply as required. Sourcing activities will include, but not be limited to, identification of AI silicon availability and options, developing and orchestrating/ leading negotiation and sourcing strategies, partnering with Finance & Meta Hardware Engineering teams to develop a business and technology roadmap in support of Meta’s hardware goals and objectives and driving strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. The Sourcing Manager will lead complex and visible commercial negotiations & engagements with the supply base and drive differentiating and best-in-class terms and conditions for Meta. The Sourcing Manager will conduct detailed technology and supply chain risk assessment to ensure the supplier proposed options have high confidence for accelerated volume production. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for exploring innovative structures on joint development models, IP licensing, and technology access to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing the total landed cost. This position reports to the Director of technology sourcing.

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Commercial Sourcing Manager, Silicon Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the AI/CPU silicon & SOC technologies and perform competitive analysis on relevant products
- Maintain current knowledge of the sub tier supply chain around cost, risks, and capacity/supply
- Develop, manage and refresh commodity sourcing strategies and roadmaps for silicon(AI/compute) and solid understanding of the actively managed adjacent technologies such as networking and storage
- Develop and maintain relationships with executive management at core silicon suppliers. Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met
- Provide technical commodity and supplier expertise and consulting to design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO
- Drive supplier proposals, RFP and business awards. Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote/bid process
- Own commercial and operational supply chain expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements
- Support product transfer from NPI to mass-production
- BS degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management in a high tech environment
- 10+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, cloud service providers, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain and associated industries
- Proven experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results
- Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions
- Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
- In-depth understanding of "should cost" for SOC (silicon and packaging) supply chain and design for value trade-offs
- Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders in top silicon and SOC supplier partners
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Leadership and management experience
- MS or MBA degree
