Meta is deploying more capital into AI infrastructure than any company in history. This role is the strategic partnerships lead within the Business Development Team, responsible for helping to evaluate, structure, and advise on infrastructure capacity deals, energy partnerships, and capital-intensive partnership constructs. The role operates at the intersection of Meta's external partnership strategy and its infrastructure investment decisions, providing practitioner-level domain expertise on energy, data center economics, and project finance to the VP Partnerships and leadership.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support infrastructure capacity deals across cloud, lease, and self-build pipelines. Assess developer credibility, cost structures, power procurement, and financing terms
  • Support structuring of large-scale capital partnership vehicles (SPVs, JVs, tax equity, project finance) in coordination with Finance, Legal, and Infrastructure teams
  • Provide strategic analysis on energy and data center market dynamics, including power generation (nuclear, renewables, gas), grid/transmission, utility economics, and regulatory/permitting landscape
  • Synthesize intelligence across multiple deal workstreams to produce unified capital allocation views for leadership's decision-making
  • Serve as Business Development’s domain expert on infrastructure and financing, ensuring the partnerships team contributes informed, independent perspectives in cross-functional forums
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Finance, and Legal teams as a strategic liaison, ensuring alignment between partnership strategy and infrastructure execution

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • 10+ years in infrastructure finance, energy project development, or capital markets with direct experience in large-scale ($1B+) project finance, JV structuring, or infrastructure M&A
  • Knowledge of energy and power markets, including generation technologies, grid dynamics, PPA structures, and utility economics
  • Experience in evaluating or negotiating data center, hyperscaler, or large-load infrastructure deals
  • Track record in structured finance (tax equity, project debt, securitization, SPV formation)
  • Ability to operate across disciplines (engineering, legal, finance, and commercial) and to synthesize complex deal structures into strategic recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
