Security Engineer with 3-5 years of experience and skilled in security automation, risk assessment, and incident response. Proven track record of learning and integrating cutting-edge security technologies to enhance organizational security postures. Eager to apply technical skills and a proactive approach to manage security projects and mitigate threats in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Automate Security Processes: Developed Python scripts to automate routine security tasks, reducing manual workload and increasing response times.
- Technology Integration: Rapidly learn and implement new security technologies and updates to enhance our security posture.
- Security Solutions Implementation: Researched, evaluated, and deployed new security technologies and tools, enhancing the company’s defense mechanisms against evolving cyber threats.
- Vulnerability Management: Conducted regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, improving system security.
- Incident Response: Played a key role in the incident response team, effectively handling security breaches and reducing potential data loss and exposure.
- Compliance and Reporting: Assisted in maintaining compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, producing detailed reports for internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a security engineering role.
- Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience in developing security tools or automating tasks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption techniques, and security principles.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and security practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Base pay for this role is expected to be between $143,00 - $187,500 USD. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as skillset, experience, and qualifications.
