About the Role:

Join us for a delicious adventure! Fever is looking for a General Manager to manage the operations of Candytopia! – an immersive indoor experience near Phoenix, Arizona. This is a full-time, seasonal position expected to run June to early January 2025.

As our GM, you’ll help bring to life the imaginative candy wonderland of Candytopia – leading our team of Brand Ambassadors in welcoming guests with high energy, big smiles, and tasty treats.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute day-to-day Candytopia! operations, establishing and maintaining a positive, high energy work environment.
  • On-site management and operation of the experience, located at the Scottsdale Fashion Square
  • Overall responsibility and main point of contact for all departments including, but not limited to: venue, staff, technicians, and guests.
  • Develop and implement a process for the set up and maintenance of the experience rooms as well as the resetting and restocking of rooms throughout the day.
  • Work with your on-site team to develop a system for storage, inventory, and replenishment of stock and other supplies needed for the experience.
  • Learn and help manage the POS systems located at each point of sale.
  • Onboard new team members.
  • Draft preferred staff schedule for local labor provider to fulfill, and ensure staff are clocking in and out, shift patterns are running smoothly, breaks are implemented and time cards are validated and approved.
  • Address and communicate all staff related issues to local labor provider.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the venue, especially all COVID-related safety procedures.
  • Follow reporting procedures and guidelines when dealing with incidents on site.
  • Effectively communicate to all Guests, Candytopia team members, & contracted vendors.
  • Handle any problems / special requests with guests.
  • Handle guestlist and assist with guests check-in procedures.
  • Weekly reporting on daily operations and technical issues to management

Schedule & Pay:

The contract will run approximately 6 months, starting in late June and running through the first weekend of January 2025. The experience is expected to operate five days a week in afternoon/evening with longer hours on Saturdays. The experience will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The schedule could vary based on ticket sales.

Rate: Will be discussed during the interviewing process.

Required Skills:

  • You have 3+ years of previous experience in a management position for an experiential pop-up event, amusement park, hospitality, or retail establishment with high foot traffic.
  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • You are internally motivated with a high energy profile.
  • You are a strong leader used to engaging with the public and managing staff.
  • You can work autonomously and at your initiative
  • You have excellent communication skills, are team oriented and have strong leadership skills.
  • You have the ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to execute AND/or delegate all related duties.
  • You are legally allowed to work in the US.
  • You are based in the Greater Scottsdale area.
