ABOUT THE ROLE

As Legal Counsel supporting the MENA region, you will be a lawyer who is driven, proactive, strategic, and business-minded. You will be based in Dubai and your day-to-day work will include providing advice on corporate and operationally relevant matters to support the growth and sustained development of Fever in the MENA region. The role will also require the execution of a wide range of legal tasks, working alongside key business leaders against the backdrop of a fast-paced, ambitious expansion.

Your role will leverage your legal background to champion Fever’s mission, vision and strategy across multiple strategic projects that you will own from time to time. This role will foster professional growth for the right candidate, including opportunities to manage staff in the medium term. You will be expected to work in the following areas for the MENA region, with visibility over other regional jurisdictions:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, terms and conditions, etc.
  • Researching legal issues around product development and regulatory matters
  • Providing support to business teams and upper management in negotiations
  • Keeping up to date on developments in legislation and jurisprudence
  • Advising on general legal matters related to the MENA market
  • Coordinating and prioritizing work with internal stakeholders, as well as external legal advisors
  • Taking responsibility for knowledge and document management, such as preparation/revision of templates and legal guides
  • Participating in ongoing corporate compliance functions as required
  • Upskilling, support, and growth of other team members

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a barred/practicing lawyer in a MENA or GCC Country, with 4+ years of PQE in the legal field
  • Be bilingual/native English and Arabic, with fluency in French a plus
  • Be a team-player and effective communicator who brings emotional intelligence to work
  • Have experience working on diverse or international projects, or on international teams.
