We seek an experienced and dynamic Director of Brand and UX Writing to oversee and unify all content across our marketing and product experience. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of brand communication, UX Writing and content design and short-form copy who can guide the organization in delivering clear, consistent, and compelling messaging across all touchpoints.

The Director will build and manage a team of content professionals across both brand content and UX writing disciplines, providing both managerial and professional guidance. This individual will own the creation and implementation of Fiverr's copy guidelines and tone of voice, ensuring they are socialized and adhered to across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$170,000. Our salary is to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, locations and other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for commissions, bonus, equity and benefits.

This is a full-time hybrid position and requires candidates to work from Fiverr's office 3 times a week.

What am I going to do?

  • Develop and Own the Brand Voice: Craft, implement, and continuously refine Fiverr’s brand voice and copy guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing and product content. Act as the authority on all copy and language used within the organization, and across various channels such as all product interfaces, email marketing, landing pages, PPC ads, social media platforms, user-generated content (UGC) scripts, etc.
  • Create and maintain a clear and holistic connection between the Brand and the Product tone of voice: Be accountable for Fiverr’s writing logics and system and the manifestation of these from product experience to classic marketing and brand materials
  • Lead Content Strategy and Team Management: Oversee the development of content strategies for both marketing and product teams, aligning messaging with business goals and user needs. Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of 8-9 content professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Master Short-Form Copywriting: Serve as the go-to expert for crafting impactful short-form copy that captures the essence of Fiverr's brand, engages users, and drives conversions. Lead by example, setting high standards for all written content.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with senior leadership, product managers, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure all content supports strategic objectives and enhances the user experience. Act as a key decision-maker on content initiatives and campaigns.
  • Analyze and Optimize: Use data and user insights to measure content effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize performance. Ensure all content drives engagement, retention, and user satisfaction.
  • Drive Consistency: Ensure cohesive brand messaging and tone across all touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, product interfaces, user documentation, and customer communications. Be the final checkpoint for content that leaves the organization.
  • Socialize Copy Guidelines: Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and materials to socialize the copy guidelines and tone of voice throughout the company. Ensure all team members and stakeholders understand and adhere to the brand voice principles.
  • Manage Team Performance: Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the content team. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support team members' professional growth.
  • Foster a Collaborative Environment: Encourage open communication, idea-sharing, and collaboration within the team and across departments. Resolve conflicts and challenges with a positive and solution-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in UX writing (MUST), brand communication, content strategy & copywriting, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies.
  • 5+ years of experience managing content teams, with demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse group of content professionals.
  • Master of short-form copywriting with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging, and impactful messages.
  • Exceptional understanding of brand development, tone of voice, and content guidelines.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and marketing, to deliver cohesive and effective messaging.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform content strategy and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
