The Senior Manager, Product Development will lead a Product Development team. You will also work with all other engineering teams, operations and product management. You will be based out of Bangalore and report to the Sr. Director.
You Will:
  • Guide and mentor a team of 20+ staff members and contractors.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to provide high quality releases to customers.
  • Track progress and provide transparency to engineering challenges through regular communications and reporting.
  • Lead by example, coach, and motivate teams toward these common goals.
  • Create close alignment between product management and engineering; ensure roles and responsibilities between the two departments are clearly defined.
  • Ensure that Ping's engineering organization is oriented around measurable goals; establish clear metrics for success; monitor progress and hold teams accountable.
  • Build a comprehensive roadmap with product management to address technical debt in a manageable way to ensure scalability and elasticity.
  • Develop and prioritize Ping's global applications, platforms and infrastructure roadmap using agile practices.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop world class technical talent to ensure a strong, healthy organization built for the future.
  • Manage development strategies for a varied portfolio and identify synergies between teams to improve efficiency.
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in increasingly responsible roles with at least 7+ years of executive leadership within a complex business environment; experience leading a full engineering team in a global company.
  • Experience modernizing complex platforms/infrastructure and addressing technical debt, resulting in flexible, scalable, and reliable systems.
  • Experience delivering high volume, mission critical platforms into regulated environments (pharma, banking, etc.)
  • An understanding of multi-tenant SaaS, single-tenant, and DevOps software environments; experience in managing organizations through the transition between these environments.
  • Demonstrated experience helping teams to develop creative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
  • Strong track record of delivering products while meeting or exceeding revenue, margin and delivery commitments.
  • A natural understanding of technology and how to use it to provide competitive advantage that translates into building outstanding products.
