Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Sales Messaging Specialist at Freshworks Inc., you will be responsible for creating and managing content strategies tailored specifically to the prospecting and lead generation activities specific to our SMB and Commercial teams. Your strategic content initiatives will support our sales teams in identifying and engaging potential customers, nurturing contacts, and ultimately driving conversions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Enablement to ensure alignment with our business objectives and customer needs.
Key responsibilities:
Content Strategy: Supportive and execute on the sales team’s content strategy focused on sales prospecting and lead generation that aligns with the department's goals and supports the sales funnel, from initial contact to lead qualification.
Content Distribution: Create distribution plans to ensure prospecting content reaches the right audience through various channels, including email, social media, and outreach platforms.
Content Optimization: Continuously update and optimize existing sales content to reflect product updates, industry trends, and customer feedback.
Content Repository: Establish and maintain a centralized content repository for easy access to sales materials, ensuring version control and content accessibility.
A/B Testing: Continuously optimize prospecting content by conducting A/B tests on messaging, subject lines, and content formats to improve engagement and conversion rates.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and analytics to track the performance of prospecting content and campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to content strategies.
Content Repository: Establish and maintain a centralized content repository for sales prospecting materials, ensuring easy access for sales teams and maintaining version control.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, subject matter experts, and sales leaders to gather insights and information for content development.
Outreach Campaigns: Develop email/social media templates, sequences, and messaging strategies for outbound prospecting campaigns, ensuring content is personalized, relevant, and effective in initiating conversations with prospects.
Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for prospecting content effectiveness and regularly report on content performance.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ Years proven experience as a Content Coordinator or similar role, with a focus on sales prospecting content in the tech industry.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and customer journeys.
Proficiency in sales and prospecting tools, email marketing platforms, and analytics.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to content strategy.
