About the role
You'll own the systems and infrastructure that keep Gamma's team moving fast. As our Senior IT Engineer, you'll provide hands-on support and systems engineering across the full employee technology stack, from device management and identity to office networking and SaaS administration.
IT at Gamma is a small, high-impact function dedicated to giving people the best possible technology to do their best work. You'll build and maintain the company's modern IT infrastructure from the ground up, stay on top of the latest tooling, and ensure our rapidly growing team has seamless access to everything they need.
Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.
What you'll do
Oversee inventory, distribution, and retrieval of company laptops and other assets
Administer and maintain our SaaS application suite including Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and 1Password
Ramp up our MDM capabilities to be cross-platform ready using tools like Kandji and Intune
Support our team's ability to access and utilize tooling and systems through identity management and single sign-on
Maintain the quality and performance of our office infrastructure including networking and security systems
Collaborate with and provide frontline support for our rapidly growing team
What you'll bring
5+ years of experience in IT operations at a fast-growing startup or cloud-native tech company, with deep understanding of the employee lifecycle from hardware asset management to systems access
Fluency with Okta for single sign-on, universal directory, access provisioning, and identity governance
Hands-on administration of mobile device management platforms including Iru (Kandji) and Intune
Experience with SaaS administration including Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, 1Password, Claude
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, SD-WAN, ZTNA, VLANs, ACLs, and implementing highly available fault-tolerant infrastructure using Cisco Meraki, Juniper, Aruba, or Ubiquiti Networks equipment
Working knowledge with physical building infrastructure, from physical access control/security systems such as Verkada or Genetec, to audiovisual deployments with Q-SYS, Dante AVoIP, Zoom Rooms, and Crestron controls
Familiarity with shell scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and leveraging third-party APIs and iPaaS tools to automate workflows and reporting across business systems
Compensation range:
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $140K - $190K plus benefits & equity.
