SENIOR PEOPLE OPERATIONS MANAGER
Based in: New York, Florida, or London
Reports to: Chief HR Officer
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Senior People Operations Manager will be responsible for all process, data and system people-based activities within the organization and for instilling operational excellence across all operational HR activities. Your insights and experience will bring rigor, strategic planning and action orientation to our ambitious and dynamic People function.
This is a hands-on role and will expand as we continue to assess the development within the team. As we go through a period of rapid change and enter our refreshed business strategy, this role is expected to provide additional leadership and operational management within the People team as Genesis Global continues to scale and grow.
You will lead a small team with a view to growing this according to business needs.
HOW YOU’LL PLAY YOUR PART
•Reviewing and assessing the current state of HR Operations globally and identifying the future state global operating model that is scalable and supports business growth. The goal is to make “HR activities engaging and easy to do business with”
•Review and recommend whether our current HRIS is fit for our scaling business.
•Own the “tech feel” of our employee UX – to enable our employees to “do it in 3 clicks” rather than have a to revert to a lengthy policy and champion the change management of the new ways of working.
•Own the orchestration and administration of the core calendar (performance cycles, compensation reviews)
•Implement process, data or systems improvements to upskill our line managers and lead on key projects to ensure the People Delivery Plan is successfully delivered. Continuously work to improve the full “employee experience” from onboarding to offboarding, through the implementation or simplification and modernization of processes and policies, ensuring ongoing compliance.
•Lead, inspire, coach, and develop People team members, ensuring high levels of performance, cross-training and resilience
•Ensure all employees are effectively on-boarded and well-integrated into the organization and/or performance management activities are followed through on
•Responsible for the professional management of employee relations matters and for coaching other team members on how to manage them
•Manage suppliers to the function including but not limited to: HRIS, benefits and background checking services
•Continuously improve the employee and manager ‘HR’ experience through the leverage of toolkits, training and technology
•Drive insight from our people data rather than “just produce reports” and make this accessible, meaningful and easy to engage with,
THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING
•A great track record of leading a small People/ Human Resources operations team in a fast paced environment and working across the full employee life-cycle
•Excellent working knowledge of a range of HRIS systems
•Global experience with knowledge of USA and/or UK employment law with a desire to want to learn the others markets- India, Ireland, and Brazil. Fearless and kind with positive and constructive feedback
•A coaching and inspiring approach – which is both systematic and pragmatic and shares knowledge, is open to change and working in new ways, comfortable working with people with diverse styles, effective conflict management and resolution skills
•Open, energetic and engaging communicator – excellent stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
•A great team player with a good sense of humor!
•A combination of experience from smaller as well as larger companies is preferred since Genesis Global is a maturing company, where at any one time this role may be faced with resolving issues related to the “growing pains” of a start-up at the same time as delivering a more structured way of working and establishing more formal processes or policies
•A formal HR qualification is highly desirable, but as important is a strong track record of a successful career in HR/ People operations.
•The ability to speak Portuguese and /or Spanish is desirable.
