Role Overview
As a Disputes Specialist I, you'll play a pivotal role in resolving online and in-person credit/debit and buy-now-pay-later chargebacks and disputes, adhering to established workflows and protocols. This role requires spreadsheet skills, an eye for details, analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously.
In this role, you will:
- Investigate and resolve online and in-person credit/debit, wallet, and buy-now-pay-later chargebacks, adhering to established workflows and protocols.
- Utilize analytical skills to gather and evaluate data, and determine appropriate course of action according to processor requirements, card network rules, and unique dispute characteristics.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of chargeback cases and resolution outcomes, ensuring compliance with department and company service level agreements.
- Surface aberrant dispute activity and trends for further deep dive analysis.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, ensuring the best service experience.
- Adapt daily responsibilities to meet business needs, including working weekends and non-traditional shifts if necessary.
We are looking for:
- 1+ years of related experience working with chargebacks or 0-1 years with a strong willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet tools and web-based tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills.
- Above-average organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and follow detailed written processes.
- Enthusiasm for upholding company values and contributing to a supportive work environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and non-traditional shifts as required.
