About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Workplace Manager to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About the role

This is your chance to take the helm of our Barcelona workplace and make it a space where people genuinely love to work. As our Workplace Manager, you’ll sit within our Finance Tribe and own the day-to-day operations of the office — keeping things safe, seamless and running like clockwork.
You’ll be the go-to person on the ground: solving problems before they become problems, partnering with suppliers, supporting leaders, and making sure the office is ready for whatever the day brings. It’s part operations expert, part experience champion, part calm-in-the-chaos hero.
You’ll work closely with our global Workplace team, sharing insights and keeping standards high — all while giving Barcelona that local magic touch

What you’ll be doing

Owning Workplace Operations: You’ll run the Barcelona office day-to-day, ensuring facilities, maintenance, cleaning, security, reception, catering and mail services all operate smoothly and safely.
Keeping the Office Ready: From access checks to space set-ups, you’ll make sure every day starts with a workplace that’s safe, functional and welcoming.
Being the First Line of Support: You’ll respond to workplace queries, incidents and requests with a proactive, service-first mindset — visible, approachable and solutions-focused.
Leading Health & Safety: You’ll own local Health & Safety processes, risk assessments and statutory compliance, ensuring contractor safety and operational best practice at all times.
Managing Vendors & Budgets: You’ll oversee supplier performance and manage local budgets — forecasting, tracking and reporting with confidence and clarity.
Championing Sustainability & Inclusion: You’ll drive energy efficiency, waste management, accessibility and wellbeing initiatives that make a real difference on site.
Driving Continuous Improvement: You’ll collaborate with the Senior Workplace Manager and global peers, sharing data on occupancy, utilisation and feedback to constantly raise the bar.

About you

Workplace experienced: You’ve worked in Workplace or Facilities Management before — ideally in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment where no two days look the same.
Health & Safety confident: You understand statutory compliance, contractor management and risk mitigation — and you take them seriously.
Hands-on and visible: You’re happiest close to the detail, out on the floor, spotting issues early and building strong on-site relationships.
Service-driven: You genuinely care about employee experience and take pride in creating spaces where people can do their best work.
Commercially aware: You’re comfortable managing budgets, suppliers and operational priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Calm communicator: You build trust easily, communicate clearly and can navigate challenges with a steady head.
Organised and tech-savvy: You keep documentation sharp, reporting accurate, and data at your fingertips — because great operations run on great information.
