About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Localisation Strategist (12-Month FTC) in an Individual Contributor role to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About the role

(Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Senior Localisation Manager 12-Month FTC to join us in an Individual Contributor role, partnering closely with our Marketing organisation to deliver globally resonant, locally relevant campaigns.

You’ll sit within our Customer Experience organisation, acting as the strategic glue between Marketing, Brand, SEO, Product and our external language partners. This isn’t just about translating words — it’s about shaping how Skyscanner shows up in every market, every language, every campaign.

From big brand moments to performance marketing initiatives, you’ll ensure our localisation strategy is proactive, scalable and smart (with a healthy dose of AI-powered efficiency). In short: you’ll help us speak traveller — fluently — everywhere.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading end-to-end localisation strategy: Acting as the primary point of contact for Marketing, defining and executing localisation plans from early planning through to delivery and optimisation — blending AI and human expertise for maximum impact.
  • Partnering cross-functionally: Collaborating with brand managers, designers, copywriters, SEO specialists and developers to ensure every market gets a seamless, high-quality experience.
  • Embedding international thinking early: Championing localisation and internationalisation best practices from campaign conception — not as an afterthought.
  • Building scalable SEO localisation frameworks: Creating and evolving governance models, workflows and processes that balance speed, quality and search performance.
  • Driving consistency and market relevance: Safeguarding terminology, tone and cultural nuance across all marketing content so it lands just right, everywhere.
  • Optimising tools and workflows: Continuously improving how we use platforms like Lokalise, Contentful and Figma (plus AI solutions) to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Advocating for global travellers: Ensuring international user needs are visible in roadmaps, budgets and strategic conversations — bringing thought leadership in SEO localisation and global marketing execution.

About you

  • Localisation leader: You’ve led global localisation programmes in digital environments and know how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • AI-enabled operator: You’ve worked with AI across translation, QA and localisation workflows — and you’re excited about what’s next.
  • Marketing and SEO savvy: You understand the nuances of marketing localisation, search optimisation and internationalisation best practices.
  • Cross-functional influencer: You’re comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders and distributed teams, building trust and momentum.
  • Vendor relationship builder: You’ve managed external language partners and know how to raise the bar on quality, efficiency and performance.
  • Tool fluent: You’ve rolled up your sleeves with tools like Lokalise, Contentful and Figma — and you’re always looking for smarter ways of working.
  • Organised and analytical: You juggle multiple priorities with ease, sweat the details (in a good way), and bring a sharp, problem-solving mindset to everything you do.
