About the role
(Shenzhen)
Hybrid
This is a contractor role for an initial about six-month term till end of 2026.
Your mission: Lead the delivery of all IT infrastructure workstreams — AV, networking, and security — within our new Shenzhen office fit-out programme, acting as the bridge between Employee Enablement, the Workplace team, and our external contractors.
Your impact: You'll make sure that when our people walk into the new space, everything just works — the screens, the networks, the access controls. You'll own the IT delivery end-to-end, keeping it on time, on budget, and built to a standard we're proud of.
What you'll be doing
Delivering AV, networking and security: Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the AV, networking, and physical/electronic security workstreams within the fit-out programme — ensuring project plans, schedules, and risk registers are maintained and delivery teams are on track.
Connecting Workplace and Employee Enablement: Serving as the primary point of contact between the Workplace team and Employee Enablement for all IT-related aspects of the fit-out, representing IT interests in programme governance meetings and resolving cross-functional dependencies.
Coordinating with the main contractor: Acting as the single IT interface with the main contractor — coordinating access, scheduling, and sequencing of IT works within the broader programme of works.
Running the finances: Accountable for all purchase orders, invoicing, procurement, and budget tracking for the IT fit-out scope, ensuring compliance with internal policies and maintaining accurate expenditure forecasts.
Signing off on designs: Reviewing and approving technical designs from AV, security, and network contractors, coordinating internal technical reviews with subject-matter experts, and managing change control for any post-approval amendments.
Reporting to leadership: Providing regular project status updates to Employee Enablement leadership covering progress, risks, issues, financials, and milestones — keeping reporting aligned with broader programme governance standards.
About you
Experienced in IT project delivery: You bring solid experience managing IT infrastructure projects within office fit-out or construction environments.
Technically literate: You have a strong understanding of AV systems, enterprise networking, and physical/electronic security technologies — enough to review contractor designs critically and ask the right questions.
Commercially sharp: You're comfortable managing budgets, raising POs, running procurement processes, and keeping a clean financial trail.
A natural coordinator: You thrive at the intersection of multiple stakeholders — contractors, internal teams, leadership — and you keep everyone aligned without breaking a sweat.
A clear communicator: You report confidently to senior leadership and translate technical detail into language that lands with any audience.
Quality-driven and structured: You maintain tight RAID logs, chase down risks early, and hold contractors to the standards we expect.
