Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team and serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and employees across the organization. In this role, you’ll drive people initiatives that enable business outcomes, strengthen team effectiveness, and foster a thriving workplace culture. You’ll be a critical connector between People Operations and the business, using data and insights to guide decisions and support our mission.
This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.
This role may require up to 10% travel
Scope of Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic people initiatives that align with Govini’s mission and business objectives
- Lead and support key People programs such as onboarding, engagement surveys, career development, and succession planning
- Use data and insights to identify trends, drive decision-making, and proactively address workforce challenges
- Provide day-to-day coaching and counsel to managers on performance management, organizational design, employee development, and employee relations
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
- 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a high-growth, tech, or SaaS environment
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and coach managers
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Experience with HRIS (e.g., BambooHR), ATS (e.g., Lever), and engagement tool
- Familiarity with startup or scale-up environments
