Job Description
The Marketing Manager will be a key operational and execution-focused member of the marketing team, directly supporting the Vice President of Marketing in driving and executing full-funnel marketing strategies. This hands-on role involves coordinating and implementing integrated campaigns, managing day-to-day execution across various channels, and ensuring seamless collaboration with Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. The manager will be instrumental in translating strategic objectives into measurable, effective marketing activities to generate qualified leads and amplify the Govini brand.
This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.
This role may require up to 5% travel.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Paid Media Implementation: Assist the VP in the tactical execution and management of paid media campaigns (SEO/SEM, display, social), including coordinating with agencies, managing creative assets, and monitoring daily performance to ensure alignment with budget and ROI goals.
- Owned Channel Management: Manage the daily operational updates and content scheduling for owned digital channels, including the corporate website and email marketing platform, focusing on improving user experience and conversion paths.
- Content Promotion: Coordinate with the Content and Paid Media teams to schedule and execute the amplification of core content assets across paid media and internal promotional channels.
- Events Support & Coordination: Serve as the primary marketing point-of-contact for the Events team, managing the execution of geo-targeted marketing support and ensuring all event-related campaigns are accurately tracked and integrated.
- Marketing Technology Operations: Be a hands-on user and administrator for key marketing technology tools, including SalesForce, to ensure accurate campaign tracking, lead data flow, and reporting readiness for the VP.
- Lead Management Coordination: Support the coordination with Sales and GTM teams on lead handoff processes, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate lead scoring, and maintaining the successful progression of leads through the funnel.
- Performance Tracking: Manage the collection, organization, and initial analysis of campaign performance data against defined KPIs, preparing regular reports and dashboards for the VP of Marketing.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B or B2G environments, preferably within the defense, national security, or technology sectors.
- Proven experience in the execution and tactical management of digital marketing channels, including paid media (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn) and email marketing.
- Solid, hands-on experience using CRM systems (ideally SalesForce) and other marketing automation tools for campaign setup, reporting, and lead management.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working effectively with sales and cross-functional GTM teams to support lead generation and pipeline goals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret basic performance data and contribute to data-driven marketing decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in or exposure to the national security, intelligence, or defense technology space.
- Experience in a startup or other entrepreneurial environment.
