Responsibilities
As a senior product engineer you will lead projects for our VR and screen-based applications. Working within a product team, you will help build production-ready software in a highly modularised, loosely coupled way.
Through this work, you’ll champion software engineering best practices, and design testable, maintainable, extensible, and scalable solutions across our product ecosystem (VR, screen, desktop, and mobile apps).
In this process, automated test coverage is important (where possible) to avoid repeated manual testing and debugging. You know how to balance tech debts in complex problem domains. You know how to balance tooling development to accelerate our work and when to avoid over-engineering. You can go deep into the Unity ecosystem and learn very quickly in a new domain.
You'll be passionate about the products we build, having a strong understanding of who we are building for and what value the product delivers. You will advocate for deep tech solutions to exploit opportunities and solve problems within our product domains.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in fields related to Computer Science, Science or Engineering
5+ years experience with Unity/C#, C++
Broad knowledge of mainstream technologies
Led and shipped successful products
Excellent knowledge and understanding of design patterns and different programming paradigms
Experience with successful delivery of design and architecture in complex domains
Deep understanding of graphics rendering, shaders, polygon mesh, geometries, and 3D modeling.
Curious person with a self-driven passion for problem-solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
Passionate about technology
Bonus points for
Working experience in large scale PC/console applications or games
Understanding of NURBS and SubDivision
Experience with Unity Burst compiler and Job system
Experience with Mesh and Topology Optimisation
Experience with 3D Graphics and High-end Gaming
