Who we are looking for

We’re looking for an analytical, hands-on, and business-minded Financial Analyst who can bridge strong accounting fundamentals with commercial insight.

This role sits at the group level, not statutory — so we need someone who understands how numbers come together across entities, and can confidently oversee, challenge, and interpret financial information.

We want someone who brings:

  • A Big 4 audit background, with strong exposure to US GAAP and group consolidations.

  • The ability to connect accounting outputs to business performance and decision-making.

  • A proactive mindset — you take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to do.

  • Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to work across finance, external accountants, and leadership.

What you will work on

  • Support group-level financial and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities.

  • Review and validate financial data prepared by external accountants, acting as a key control layer.

  • Perform variance and flag analysis to identify risks, inconsistencies, and performance drivers.

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly closes, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting.

  • Contribute to consolidation processes, ensuring proper treatment across entities under US GAAP.

  • Partner with the VP of Finance and finance leadership to support financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with budgets.

  • Support procurement tracking, including PO reviews, spend monitoring, and budget vs. actual analysis.

  • Help improve and streamline ERP and reporting systems for better control and visibility.

  • Prepare management and board-level materials, translating data into actionable insights.

  • Coordinate with auditors and support audit and compliance processes at the group level.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and strengthen controls.

Your must haves

  • 4+ years of experience, including Big 4 audit experience (highly preferred).

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, reporting, and consolidation principles, with exposure to US GAAP.

  • At least 1 year of experience in industry (corporate finance / in-house role preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with management reporting and financial analysis.

  • Exposure to AP/AR processes and working with or overseeing transactional accounting.

  • Experience working with external accountants or shared service teams is a plus.

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; confident in handling and modeling data.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement processes.

  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

The deal

  • On-site role in Almaty office.

  • Full-time position.

  • Competitive salary in USD.
