Why work at Higgsfield AI?

Higgsfield AI is the fastest-scaling generative AI company in history, hitting $500M in annual revenue run rate, 25M+ users worldwide, 6M+ generations per day, and powering 390 of Fortune 500 brands. We're building at the absolute frontier of AI-powered video creation and next-generation creative tools. Joining Higgsfield means becoming part of a high-impact team shaping the future of AI-native experiences, at a company that isn't just moving fast, but rewriting what fast looks like.

Who we are looking for

Everyone at Higgsfield is an A-player. We ship 200+ releases a year, serve 25M+ users across the world, and operate at the frontier of generative AI. We're looking for a Product Legal Counsel who can keep up with that speed: a lawyer who finds the path to "yes, and here's how" instead of defaulting to "no." You bring:

  • High agency and extreme ownership — you embed with product teams, you don't wait for questions to land on your desk.

  • Speed with judgment: pragmatic, risk-calibrated advice delivered on product timelines, not law-firm timelines.

  • Genuine curiosity about generative AI and the fast-moving legal landscape around it.

  • The ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for engineers, designers, and growth teams.

  • Comfort with ambiguity: many of the questions you'll face have no settled answer yet — you'll form defensible positions where precedent doesn't exist.

What you will work on

  • Act as the primary legal partner to product, engineering, and growth teams: review new features, models, and launches before they ship, at the pace we ship them.

  • Own user-facing legal documents: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, community and content guidelines, creator program terms (including Higgsfield Earn), and consumer disclosures across markets.

  • Advise on intellectual property questions core to generative AI: training data, model outputs, user-generated content, licensing, and copyright risk — and help shape our positions as the law evolves.

  • Build and refine our approach to content policy and trust & safety: likeness and voice rights, impersonation, moderation obligations, and takedown processes (including DMCA and equivalents).

  • Advise on privacy and data protection compliance across our global user base (GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regimes), partnering with engineering on privacy-by-design.

  • Track and interpret emerging AI regulation worldwide (EU AI Act and beyond) and translate it into concrete product requirements.

  • Support commercial and enterprise work: review agreements with Fortune 500 clients, partners, and vendors touching the product.

  • Manage and coordinate outside counsel efficiently where specialist or local-law expertise is needed.

  • Build scalable legal processes — launch review, escalation paths, self-serve guidance — so legal accelerates the company instead of bottlenecking it.

Your must-haves

  • Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of experience, including meaningful time as product counsel or technology/IP counsel at a fast-moving tech company (in-house) or advising tech clients at a top firm.

  • Strong grounding in at least two of: intellectual property, privacy/data protection, consumer protection, content/platform regulation.

  • Hands-on experience drafting and maintaining user-facing terms and policies for a consumer or platform product.

  • Proven ability to give fast, practical, risk-weighted advice to non-lawyers in a shipping-focused environment.

  • Experience working with international/cross-border legal questions for a global user base.

  • Excellent written and spoken English — you'll draft user-facing documents and advise the team in English daily.

Your good-to-haves

  • Direct experience with generative AI, ML, or media/entertainment products and their IP questions.

  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act, DSA, or other emerging platform and AI regulation.

  • Experience with trust & safety, content moderation, or rights-of-publicity matters.

  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or API commercial agreements.

  • Additional languages (Russian is a plus for working with the Almaty team).

The deal

  • Full-time, on-site role in our Almaty office.

  • Competitive salary in USD.

  • Opportunity to grow alongside one of the fastest-scaling AI companies globally.

  • High ownership, fast learning, and meaningful impact from day one.
