Responsibilities:

Architecture Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the long‑term architecture vision and multi‑year technology roadmap for HPE’s SASE/SSE platforms across cloud, edge, and hybrid environments.
  • Drive architectural innovation across security, networking, identity, policy, data, and analytics to deliver differentiated customer value at scale.
  • Establish architectural principles, reference architectures, and guardrails that guide teams while enabling innovation.
  • Drive the leverage of AI capabilities (including data-driven intelligence, automation, and assisted workflows) and how to incorporate them into the SASE/SSE architecture to enhance security efficacy, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Technical Governance & Decision Making

  • Provide strategic consultation and design leadership for complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices, non‑functional requirements, and business objectives.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews for high‑impact programs, identifying risks early and steering teams toward sustainable solutions.
  • Evaluate and guide architectural decisions related to AI usage, including build vs. buy considerations, data strategy implications, model integration, and long-term maintainability.

Security, Scale & Reliability Leadership

  • Embed secure‑by‑design principles across the platform, including threat modeling, zero‑trust architectures, and defense‑in‑depth strategies.
  • Drive architectural standards for scalability, performance, availability, resiliency, and operability across global, multi‑tenant systems.
  • Partner with various groups within the organization to ensure architectures support reliable delivery and rapid incident recovery.

Cross‑Functional & External Leadership

  • Communicate and advocate the SASE/SSE architecture strategy and roadmap to executive leadership, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Act as a senior technical voice in key customer engagements, escalations, and roadmap discussions.
  • Represent HPE engineering in industry forums, standards discussions, and technical collaborations where appropriate.

Talent & Technical Community Leadership

  • Mentor senior engineers, architects, and technical leaders; set the bar for technical excellence and decision quality.
  • Contribute to identifying, developing, and growing the next generation of technical leaders within HPE.
  • Foster a culture of strong technical ownership, clear written decision‑making, and constructive architectural debate.
  • Promote adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across the organization to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.

Education and Experience Required:
