What you’ll do:

Senior Manager needed to build, mentor and manage teams of network engineers and consultants delivering on HPE Networking Services to a global customer base across the network lifecycle (Day 0/1/2)

RESPONSIBILITIES :
-Delivery Streams : Lead teams to deliver Networking Professional & Managed Services to a global customer base across the entire network lifecycle (Day 0/1/2)

-Tech Verticals : Enterprise Routing / Switching / Wireless / SD-WAN, Security and DC would be a bonus.

-Automation & Innovation : Lead teams to work with global stakeholders & Dev teams to define engineering requirements for NetOps Next Gen platforms and tools
-Portfolio Evolution : Work closely with PLM for defining and ensuring delivery readiness based on evolving portfolio requirements
-Global Models : Manage operational streams across global teams by strategic planning to establishing processes and segmentation aligned to ITIL that enables global delivery
-People Management : Setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development, drives and fosters performance standards & practices

-Initiatives : Engages with global program managers, leaders and executives on key initiatives to guide and influence strategic decision-making.

-Escalation Management : Resolving escalated issues escalated issues handling various moving parts including Customer, Engineering and TAC

-Communication : Executive Presentations, Internal Stakeholders, Customer Connect, Value Articulation

What you need to bring:

-20+ years overall in Networking Services (Professional / Managed), At least 7+ years in people leadership

-Experience of working for a Global Major in the Networking Industry for 10+ years , handling Global Teams, processes, operations, delivery models and Tier 1 customers

-Experience with building and leading teams of consultants and SME’s to successfully delivery across across various parts of the Enterprise Network Lifecycle ( Day 0/1 and Day 2)

-Experience of leading successful Automation & Innovation programs and working with Product Mangement and Engineering to evolve and transform delivery

-First level university degree a must

-Advanced Degree preferred, could be Masters or Post Graduate Diplomas in Engineering

Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

Responsibilities:

-This critical Senior Manager role involves building & leading teams of network engineers who will be handling Network Consulting responsibilities across Professional Services accounts globally, totalling over $100M in annual bookings

-This includes taking ownership of work-streams and deliverables across the entire Design & Deployment spectrum and also Optimization Services across multiple accounts.

Hire, train and manage teams of network architects and consultants to deliver on HPE Networking Professional Services to a global customer base

Lead teams of Network Specialists / Experts to develop and deliver best in network solutions based on HPE Aruba and HPE Juniper Products, driven by customer business and technical requirements across various technology verticals including Routing / Switching , Wireless, Security , Data Center and SD-WAN

Lead network architects and consultants to provide services across the network lifecycle in the Day 0-1& Optimization Space that includes Pre Sales Scoping, Design, Solution Validation / Testing, Proof of Concepts, Deployment / Implementation and Migration

Lead teams to provide network consultancy and services based for Optimisation services and post deployment design and architecture related needs, driven by customer business and technical requirement

Drive focus on Automation, Innovation & AI : Lead teams to work with global stakeholders and development teams and define engineering requirements to build next gen platforms and tools

Portfolio Evolution : Work closely with PLM in the delivery readiness journey to build composite Juniper + Aruba platform

Provide Strategic planning for global delivery models : help design and build processes and segmentation rules that will enable global teams to combine and deliver services, ensuring timely delivery at enhanced margins

Work with Account managers and Regional teams to plan E2E delivery and also in resolving escalated issues escalated issues, effectively leveraging matrix resources.

Mentor teams on their technical enablement and delivery excellence

Work with Product Management for defining and ensuring delivery readiness based on portfolio service descriptions

Responsible for overall people management for direct reports that can include individual contributors and managers. That includes setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development

Executive Presentations during Ops Reviews

Manage External Vendors and Partners and consider costs and timelines and ensure that vendors meet deadlines for deliverables and project elements.

Plan and Drive hiring based on projected business needs

  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and managing projects utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 20+ years of Networking work experience, including 4 or more years of people management experience.
