Your Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep computer vision expertise to collaborate closely with our Machine Learning team, and contribute significantly to the evolution of our AI-powered cameras.
This role will:
- Work on a range of technologies. Your scope will include: image quality optimization; multi-camera calibration and stitching; 3D projection; object detection and tracking; AI models integration in hardware (currently NVIDIA Jetson); and video rendering and encoding.
- Develop. You’ll build and optimize computer vision algorithms for Hudl’s smart Focus cameras.
- Collaborate. You’ll integrate and fine tune edge AI models, such as object detection and tracking in collaboration with our Machine Learning team.
- Improve. You’ll** **enhance image quality through sensor and lens assessments and ISP tuning, and optimize software performance for embedded platforms, focusing on timing and power consumption budgets.
We'd like to hire someone for this role who lives near our office in Den Bosch, but we're also open to remote candidates in the Netherlands.
Must-Haves
- Experience in computer vision and embedded systems. You’ve spent several years developing computer vision applications, particularly in embedded C++ and Linux environments.
- Technology proficiency. You have hands-on experience with image processing, video manipulation, multi-camera systems, and optimization on edge platforms like NVIDIA, Qualcomm or Ambarella.
- Cross-functional. You excel at bringing complex features to production, and have a track record of working closely with Data Scientists and other stakeholders.
- Analytical. You’re not shy about applying rigorous and scientific methodologies to develop algorithms, testing and validating them to ensure high-quality outputs.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hardware know-how. You’re skilled in hardware optimization for performance improvements.
- Machine learning expertise. You have trained, tested and deployed object detection and tracking algorithms based on ML.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, Jetpack and GStreamer/Deepstream.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is displayed below, and may be eligible for bonuses which are offered at Hudl's sole discretion. Where a candidate is placed within this base salary range is determined by experience, skills, education and training required for the job as well as our internal pay equity. Discretionary bonuses, if awarded, may include annual targets based on company performance and a long-term incentive award.
