Your Role
We're looking for a commercially driven Account Executive to grow Hudl's presence across Australia's professional and community sports markets. This is a solutions sales role at its core — you'll be selling a platform, managing a pipeline and closing deals. A genuine passion for sport is important, but your foundation is in SaaS sales.
What You'll Do
- Own the full SaaS sales cycle. From prospecting through to demo, negotiation and close, you'll manage a structured pipeline across professional clubs and community organisations in the NRL and AFL markets.
- Consult, don't just sell. You'll take a solutions-based approach, understanding each customer's workflows and demonstrating how our platform drives measurable outcomes — whether you're presenting to a CEO or a local club administrator.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. You'll partner with implementation, customer success and product teams to ensure deals are set up for long-term retention, not just initial conversion.
Must-Haves
- SaaS sales experience. You have 3+ years in a B2B SaaS sales or account executive role, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Pipeline discipline. You're experienced managing a structured sales process — you know how to qualify, progress and close opportunities with rigour and accuracy.
- Technical fluency. You're confident in demonstrating software platforms, navigating CRM tools and communicating data-led value propositions to non-technical buyers.
- Clear, compelling communication. You can adapt your message for a boardroom and a grassroots club in the same day, making complex ideas feel simple and relevant.
- Sporting domain knowledge. You have a strong interest in or understanding of AFL or NRL—if you speak the language of Aussie sports, you’ll hit the ground running.
- Relevant background. You’ve worked in sports management or recruitment, or you’ve sold products and services into the sports and fitness industry.
- Tech savvy. Familiarity with video analysis, performance metrics or athlete management platforms
- Process-oriented. You’re familiar with structured sales processes, including how to manage a pipeline or forecast your month.
- Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
- Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
- Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
- Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
