Roles and Responsibility:

1. The candidate should have a strong technical knowledge of new product development in skin

& haircare with claims strategy & technology scanning.

2. Direct involvement in the product development process as per safety and desired efficacy.

3. Role involves formulation designing as per the requirements, COGS &desired efficacy of the

products.

4. Experience in the claims support market, extracting claims &working on issues in the existing

products to deliver safe, effective & quality products.

5. Collating consumer feedback before product launching &post-launch monitoring for

improvements (if required).

6. To create a data bank of products in hair care and skin care for future requirements of

business.

7. 5 to 8 years of experience in cosmetic/personal care product development, preferred in skin &

haircare.

8. Knowledge of regulations & formulation optimization is highly desired.

9. Understanding of troubleshooting of products & exposure to any scientific databases or

academic search engines with the ability to understand, choose & prioritize data.

10. Should have technical knowledge of different raw materials & their interactions in

formulations.

11. Maintaining & filing record system of the department, preparation & implementation of required SOP’s

12. Excellent communication skills & should be able to share his/her views with the team

members.

13. Understand and follow protocols/test methods used to measure functional and aesthetic

performance of products.

14. Liaising with external vendors for raw materials & external testing.

15. Documentation of lab experiments in lab book.

16. Working as per safety guidelines & follow lab procedures.

Qualification

1. MTech/PhD - Chemistry /Cosmetics Technology.
2. 5-8 years of experience in the field of formulation development in the field of personal care.
3. Excellent academic credentials.
4. Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Energetic, organized, focused, and dedicated to meeting high standards with a consistently positive attitude & a hands-on mentality.
6. Proven ability to take ownership of matters & manage the input of others with flexibility and respect.
7. Positive experience in working within a hierarchy & meeting deadlines in short time frames & ability to set & adjust priorities quickly.
