You will be a key part within our Product & Technology group to help Lightspeed make great products and strong decisions grounded in data. We need someone that is highly motivated, creative, and not afraid to push past status-quo to help implement a data infrastructure that enables Lightspeeders to work with data. This is a highly technical role for someone who is comfortable building a data platform to support internal stakeholders.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for building and deploying the vision for how internal teams will access, transform, and visualize data from Lightspeed’s data lake and data warehouse. This individual will work with internal stakeholders to assess their data needs and their competencies to work with data and deliver solutions for them that will unlock the ability to make decisions and products grounded in data. You will be challenged to work with stakeholders to help define their needs and negotiate solutions.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Drive the problem and solution discovery process alongside design and engineering
- Gather insights from our existing customer base, internal stakeholders, and market trends to help shape product direction
- Create clear, concise and thoroughly researched problem narratives that align all stakeholders on customer and business problems
- Define your KPIs, outline a baseline and accurately predict the impact you expect to make
- Create easily understood product delivery plans and requirements in collaboration with technical and design team members
- Build great relationships with dependent teams and stakeholders and drive clear communications and alignment
- Work hand-in-hand with your engineering team to execute the roadmap and meet your objectives
What you’ll be bringing to the team:
- Great communicator who drives success through alignment
- Data-driven mindset - strong analytical skills to help root your decisions
- Expert in Agile/Scrum development cycle, building and delivering high-quality software on time
- Experience building products or features from the ground up, working from an idea to a launched product
- Demonstrated knowledge of building new products
- Experience integration systems using APIs and/or middlewares
- Showcasing customer empathy by working with customers, design and development teams for ideating on solutions
- Ability to prioritize requests and manage stakeholder expectations as data is in heavy demand
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- Components of a big data solution
- Google Cloud Platform’s data solutions (BigQuery, Dataform, Looker)
- Knowledge of GitHub
