Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

We’re looking for a Intermediate Mobile Developer (React Native) to join our team in Auckland. As an essential part of our innovative team, you will help create a cutting-edge mobile app designed to streamline restaurant operations and boost guest experiences. This app will give restaurant managers real-time insights, improve efficiency, and support better decision-making, playing a major role in advancing Lightspeed's mission to enhance commerce for our merchants and their customers.

You will be consistently contributing meaningful features, improvements, and bug fixes to ensure continuous project progress and value addition. The ideal candidate for this role understands and prioritises the needs of end-users, ensuring the product delivers exceptional value with high code quality with no critical defects in production.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Play a key role in creating and implementing features for a cutting-edge mobile app for hospitality operators, making a positive impact on thousands of restaurant managers and staff each week.
  • Contribute to developing proof of concepts and prototypes, and assist in building a scalable, testable, and maintainable app ready for production.
  • Actively participate in pair programming, team stand-ups, planning sessions, new feature kick-offs, and demo sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Design, Quality Assurance, and Support teams as well as other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure a strong focus on User Experience (UX).
  • Help translate requirements into detailed plans and provide effort estimates for completion.

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Proven experience developing and launching production-grade React Native and TypeScript applications for Android and/or iOS platforms.
  • Prior experience debugging native apps for iOS using XCode and Swift, or for Android.
  • Understanding of mobile app architectures and connectivity considerations.
  • Previous experience with unit and automated UI testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, Detox, Appium, or Maestro.
  • Knowledge of release/build/deployment processes, including navigating App Store and Play Store requirements and challenges.

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re unsure that you have the right profile for the role... hit the ‘Apply’ button and give it a try!

What’s in it for you?
