Product Manager II - Consumer (all genders)
Lightspeed
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by đź‘‹
Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!
About the Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Product Manager to lead Hospitality’s flagship Consumer squad, a team focused on strengthening the relationship between our restaurant customers and their guests. A critical piece of our strategy, you’ll help increase guests’ lifetime value and drive revenue for our restaurants by building consumer-facing tools that span the full lifecycle of the guest-restaurant relationship, from the moment a guest steps into a restaurant through to their subsequent retention, communication, and rewards.
You will lead a product team that includes design, content, user experience research, engineering, and quality specialists to focus on engaging guests throughout the full lifecycle of the restaurant-guest relationship. You’ll do this by:
Discover & Define
- Deeply understanding the market and competitive landscape for consumer-facing hospitality tools, from the perspectives of both the restaurant and the guest,
- Accurately identifying highly valuable problems to solve at scale to maximize the yield of the team,
- Leading the product strategy and roadmap for our consumer-facing tools, prioritizing work based on customer needs, business value, and strategic alignment.
- Staying on top of emerging trends within your product domain, integrating new tools and techniques across iOS, AI/ML, payments infrastructure, and more into your strategy and roadmap, where relevant.
Risk and Delivery
- Managing the discovery, research, and design phases of both net new (0-1) and existing consumer-facing products,
- Expertly executing the Product Development and Software Development lifecycles to efficiently scope, build, and launch products that customers love and are willing to pay for,
- Defining, tracking, reporting on, and iteratively responding to key performance indicators of the products’ success, and
- Working cross-functionally to drive adoption of consumer-facing tools across existing and new customers.
About You
You love rolling your sleeves up to build things that solve problems. You thrive in ambiguity, and “being in the weeds” (within reason) is exciting for you. You’re analytical and intuitive, and adeptly juggle both to make decisions that inspire confidence. Specifically, you have:
Background and Experience
- Experience leading a Product team that owns a domain of functionality, including experience launching both net new (0-1) products and functionality for existing tools,
- Experience with consumer products within the Hospitality domain, including experience with consumer payment platforms, loyalty programs, reservations/waitlists, or other consumer retention tools,
- A strong understanding of payments ecosystems, particularly as they relate to the consumer payment experience,
- A proven track record of launching products with positive, measurable business outcomes,
Strengths and Skills
- The technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists,
- The ability to approach problems with an empathetic lens, balancing data-driven decision making with a genuine understanding of – and intuition for – the solutions that our customers will love most,
- Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead without authority, and
- An ownership-approach to problem solving – the ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using all the resources available to you.
How You’ll Know You’re Successful if:
- Your work makes it easier for engineers and designers to understand the “why” and the “what” of our solutions for customers,
- Lightspeed colleagues are excited about what the team has delivered and what is coming up on the roadmap,
- You’re contributing to measurable success across key business metrics that include ARPU, churn, and GPV,
- Your work contributes to a strong Product culture at Lightspeed.
What is in it for you
