The Opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team here at Lottie. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced startup environment. You will gain hands-on experience across various finance functions, working closely with a supportive team and learning from experienced professionals.
You will play a key role in supporting the finance team with day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the smooth running of our processes. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in finance within one of the UKās most exciting startups.
What Youāll Be Doing
- Leading on AR collection to maintain healthy collection metrics (e.g. past due %), including following up on outstanding invoices, liaising with partners to resolve payment issues, and ensuring timely collections
- Assisting with day-to-day finance operations, including processing invoices, onboarding partners, processing supplier payments, and supporting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close activities, such as reconciliations and journal postings
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
- Working with the wider finance team to improve processes and controls
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects and research as needed

Who Weāre Looking For
- Up to one year of experience in a similar role or an internship in industry
- A keen interest in building a career in finance
- Strong communication and negotiation skills fit for internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Comfortable working with Excel and handling financial data
- Experience with Xero is ideal but not essential
