About the Role:

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships and growing the value that each partner gets out of the Minoan Platform. It’s part relationship management, part business development, and part operations.

This role is based in NYC, remote optional, with a preference that this individual could easily get to NYC when needed, where most of our team will be located. This is a full-time temporary role.

This role is responsible for:

  • Managing the relationships between Minoan and our property partners
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders (i.e. property managers, property owners, designers, etc.), so as to better understand their unique needs and provide strategic recommendations and solutions through Minoan.
    • Build and maintain a strategy of ‘connecting’ with these property partners through personal or ‘automated’ (ie. marketing) touch points.
  • Onboarding and Upselling our Product/Services
    • Work closely with property partners on high-priority bulk orders and manage the operations team's process of quoting and ordering
    • Grow network through up-sell of existing property partners (ie. 1 out of 10 properties under a PMG to all 10, or all STR’s under a designers perview)
    • Continuous strategizing and iteration for onboarding process improvement
    • Following up with key stakeholders owning the procurement process to make sure we're offering valuable thought partnership, support, and solutions for first-time and repeat orders to drive strong customer lifetime value"
    • Communicate with our Ops team to make sure items are ordered correctly and that all purchased items are set up and assigned to respective shoppable space.
    • Find ways to increase share of wallet with Minoan’s property partners through new features, new partnerships, new strategies, etc.
  • Collaborate with all sectors of the business (BD, Ops, Tech, Mktg) to achieve above objectives
    • Act as an advocate for our customers and synthesize user feedback into actionable solutions and recommendations for our Ops, UX, and Tech teams as a key thought partner
  • Advocate for customers with Brand Partners
    • Act as liaison and advocate with brand partners (i.e. Wayfair) to make sure that our customers are getting the best possible offering from brands, particularly on large bulk orders where there may be room for further negotiations
An ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has 3 - 5 years of experience with strong interpersonal and commercial skills. Someone who understands the value of persistence and discipline around organization and managing a pipeline are a must. Experience with startups, ecommerce or hospitality is preferred. This person must be an ambitious and curious team player.
