Key Responsibilities

Direct & Indirect Taxation (GST, Income Tax):

  • Conduct all tax-related reconciliations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely tax filing and adherence to statutory regulations.
  • Reviewing and Managing Customs documentation and Duty.
  • Liaison with external consultants on a need basis.

Compliance Management:

  • Manage MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) filings & compliances.
  • Ensure adherence to payroll compliance requirements and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee compliance related to contract labour regulations and maintain accurate records.

Process Improvement & Implementation:

  • Develop and implement processes to address gaps and timely adherence to various compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive compliance tracker for accurate monitoring.

Handling Notices:

  • Address and respond to all statutory notices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a tracker to monitor notice resolution and closure.

Due Diligence & Auditing:

  • Support and manage due diligence processes from a legal & compliance perspective.
  • Support in internal audits, tax audits, and IFC audits.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and compliance standards.
  • Experience: 3 + years
  • Qualification: CA/CMA/ CA Inter / MBA
  • Proficient in tax regulations and statutory filings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge about customs duty and HSN code is an added advantage.
