The Role
As a Global Supply Chain Manager, you’ll lead strategic sourcing for the critical components and assemblies that make our cutting edge robotic systems. In this critical role, you’ll collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Operations to drive cost improvements, scale
production and build a resilient supply base

Responsibilities

  • Define and own category strategies for key components and assemblies with a focus on scaling production.
  • Achieve or exceed cost targets through data-driven should-cost modeling, market and commodity analysis, and strategic negotiations.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, including piece price, tooling/NRE, and key contractual terms.
  • Manage supply chain risk through assessment of capacity, geopolitics, logistics, and supplier technological capability.
  • Actively partner with the Hardware Engineering team to drive design direction aimed at meeting functionality objectives while reducing landed costs.
  • Drive supplier readiness across prototype, pilot, and mass production builds to ensure smooth scale-up and launch execution.
  • Develop and execute planning, logistics and warehousing strategy to optimize costs and minimize supply risk.
  • Concisely summarize and escalate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with partner teams and lead development and implementation of corrective action plans

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement for high volume manufacturing
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Solid category knowledge across mechanical, electrical (PCB/PCBA), and/or electro-mechanical components and assemblies
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional work-streams with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and NPI teams to drive alignment and execute sourcing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on short notice

Additional Requirements

  • Extensive supply chain or manufacturing operations experience with one or multiple of the following: electronics components, injection molding, stamping, sheet metal fabrication, casting, CNC machining, printed circuit board fabrication, assembly
  • Prior experience sourcing, evaluating and onboarding new suppliers in new regions
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills

Compensation

$120,000 - $150,000 a year
The above range is the salary range. This position will also receive generous equity for this position.
