What you’ll do:

We are seeking an experienced HPE 3PAR/Primera/Alletra Storage Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting storage systems, including SAN Zoning in day to day operations.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, administrator and maintain HPE 3PAR/Primera/Alletra Storage. Experience in IBM and DELL EMC and Lenovo Storages products would be an added advantage

Perform health checks and proactive configuration management on the storage environment.

Provide Out of Hours On-Call support for P1 or critical incidents

Perform availability monitoring as part of incident resolution on storage systems


Resolve incidents relating to the storage systems

Track and confirm that storage environment and associated software inventory is correctly recorded in CMDB

Support the software troubleshooting and upgrade processes, including vendor coordination for storage related software

Verify storage operability after maintenance activities

Maintain policy and procedure documentation for storage administration

Proactive system optimization and maintenance as required

Excellent troubleshooting skills in SAN and Storage troubleshooting

Storage Migration and HPE Storages Replication

Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems

Develop and implement automated solutions to support operational and SLA objectives

Good knowledge on SAN performance tuning

Respond quickly and effectively to Storage issues and outages

Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis for incidents (Severity 1 only)

Good knowledge on Storage provisioning, Host groups, Lun Masking, Tiering, Data migration

Good knowledge and understanding on data replication

Good Knowledge and understanding of Management Tools as well as SSMC/Spectrum/DSCC

Good communication skills and ready to work in 24x7 support

Good understanding on Virtual volume allocations Extents creations

Storage space and switch ports capacity management

Has experience working in a large storage environment with formal change management practices

Strong Knowledge on firmware upgrades fixing SAN switch port issues and server path fail issues

Working knowledge on storage arrays storage volume allocations and fixing hardware issues

Working experience on troubleshooting on performance issues on Isilon Storage

Working experience on Brocade and CISCO switches on creating zoning and setting SAN boot policies

Working experience on performing storage arrays Firmware upgrades on HPE 3PAR/Primera/Alletra Storages

Working Experience on SAN switch firmware upgrades and array migrations

Education and Experience Required:

HPE 3PAR Storage/HPE Primera Storage/HPE Alletra Storage/San Director (Primary Skills)

Brocade and Cisco SAN Switches Management

ITIL Certified

OEM Certified minimum on one storage technology with exposure to day to day operations
