L2/L3 Data Centre and Campus (EVPN-VXLAN) scale & performance QA Engineer scale & performance – NPAT

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced QA Engineer focused exclusively on unidimensional scale, performance, and benchmarking validation of Data Center (EVPN-VXLAN) and Campus networking products.

The role involves validating control plane and data plane scalability, convergence characteristics, and throughput performance under high-scale conditions using automation-driven frameworks.

The candidate will work closely with Development, Product Management, and Customer teams to ensure high-quality deliverables for modern Data Center and enterprise deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate control plane scale (MAC, ARP, routes, VNIs, BGP/EVPN scale limits).
  • Perform data plane performance benchmarking (throughput, latency, packet loss, PPS, buffer behavior).
  • Execute convergence testing for protocol scale events (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN).
  • Validate large-scale EVPN-VXLAN leaf-spine fabrics and Campus L2/L3 environments.
  • Perform feature-scale stress testing in isolation (single dimension validation).
  • Benchmark performance across software releases and hardware platforms.
  • Develop and enhance Python/Pytest-based automation frameworks for scale and regression.
  • Automate traffic generation, telemetry collection, and KPI validation.
  • Produce detailed scale and performance reports with trend analysis.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in EVPN-VXLAN (control plane & data plane scale).
  • Deep L2/L3 knowledge: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, L3VPN, QoS.
  • Experience in Data Center underlay/overlay and Campus architectures.
  • Proven experience in Python automation using Pytest framework.
  • Experience with traffic generators and performance validation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills in benchmarking and KPI interpretation.
  • Hands-on experience with DC/Campus switches (Juniper/Cisco/Arista/Aruba).

Preferred

  • Experience in high-scale fabric validation (MAC/IP/Route/VNI scale).
  • Knowledge of telemetry, REST APIs, CI/CD integration.
  • CCNP/JNCIP or equivalent certifications.
  • Engineering degree in CS/ECE/EE.
