Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

Responsible for optimization of analytical tools/process across commodities/categories worldwide (specific focus silicon components), including development of AI models, Dashboards and automated tools that support the company and its customers. In addition, will be responsible for managing reference design set up and operations for rack scale solutions. Includes supporting category strategies; developing scope and implementing improvements, building tools which reports supply to meet the company and customer requirements; and supporting models for supplier contracting and negotiations; supplier qualification; and reporting establishing quality processes / resolving quality issues. Emphasis is on strategy, automation, dashboards, supplier development, negotiations, business relationships, quality, cost, assurance of supply and predictability. Develops the company procurement strategies, policies and tactics required to achieve objectives. Primary objective is to support Sourcing in reducing the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, business and quality specifications, and revenue goals. Adds value to the company through managing performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts.

Management Level Definition:

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations team reference design initiatives
  • Help enhance sourcing tools and implement AI solutions to improve reporting and support new product launches
  • Build dashboards and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency
  • Analyzes industry trends and procurement performance to support a supply category; reports results of analyses to procurement manager.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives.
  • Meets with senior members in an observer capacity to learn about business priorities.
  • Learns to use supply chain and financial modeling tools.
  • Engages with partners projects.
  • Performs tasks as assigned and applies experience to align individual work with overall strategy using discretion and judgment.
  • Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science or equivalent experience.
  • Typically, 2-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of procurement processes.
  • Previous experience with AI implementation in the workload
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI platforms, SAP tools (or similar applications).
  • Understanding on how to deploy and leverage AI
  • Good knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and teamwork skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
