About the role
Remote in EU, or hybrid in Barcelona, Palma, Dublin, or Casablanca.
Nuitée is hiring a Head of Data to lead the data function behind one of the most data-heavy products in travel.
The real difference in this role is that data sits on both sides of the business: the internal data that shapes company decisions, and the product-facing data that makes our travel platform work.
Every company needs reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence. At Nuitée, data also sits inside the product itself: hotel supply, pricing, trading, API usage, partner behaviour, and the logic behind buying low, selling high, and helping partners use travel data properly.
So this is not a classic Head of Data role where you inherit a mature BI function, polished reporting layers, and slow quarterly planning cycles.
You’ll inherit a data function with strong analysts and data scientists already doing important work across the business. The next step is to add the data engineering depth, operating cadence, and source-of-truth foundations that allow the function to scale with the company and connect more clearly to commercial impact.
A good way to think of it is: you turn data into a trusted operating layer for the company, and a stronger product layer for the platform.

How do we decide which data problems need to be near-perfect, and which ones should move quickly as a good-enough first version?

How do we make analytics, data science, and experimentation more connected to product quality, commercial outcomes, and revenue growth?
This role fits someone who

has operated at Head of Data, Director, Senior Director, or VP level in a data-heavy product business

has strong technical credibility across data engineering, analytics, and data science
-
has led mixed data teams, including analysts, data scientists, and data engineers

has built or scaled a data function in a product, platform, API, marketplace, fintech, travel, trading, or similarly data-heavy business
-
knows how to build trusted data foundations, from pipelines and data quality to modelling, source-of-truth systems, and modern cloud data platforms like BigQuery

can clearly connect data work to commercial outcomes, product decisions, customer value, pricing, margin, supply quality, or operational performance
-
brings strong operating discipline while still moving at startup pace: priorities, ownership, reporting, delivery cadence, accountability, and pragmatic tradeoffs
Nuitée is fast-moving, low on process, and high on ownership. That suits people who like pace, responsibility, technical complexity, and building structure without slowing things down. It is less suited to people who want a mature corporate data organisation, large support teams, slow planning cycles, or a strategy-only leadership role.
