Purpose of your role

You are an integral part of the Group FP&A team, responsible for financial support to the Group Executive team and Board. You enjoy bringing financial data to life through concise and effective visual storytelling, turning complex analytics into simple and impactful messages. You can explain the data to the business clearly, to enable informed decisions and inspire action. You enjoy building relationships across teams and are constantly looking to business context and data to support performance insights and highlight opportunities. You are in the detail of the preparation, review and analysis of consolidated management reporting, and own management of the consolidated budgeting and forecasting process along with Group Executive departmental business partnering.

This role will suit a highly engaged individual who is a strong communicator and loves looking for the story in the data. You have a high level of technical financial expertise coupled with commercial acumen and an innovative and curious mindset. You pride yourself on your exceptional attention to detail, and ability to critically assess information to provide reliable insights. This role will suit someone with a demonstrated interest in the Fintech industry.

What you do

  • Analyse, identify and communicate key performance results and context to stakeholders, providing critical insights to inspire action and enable informed decision making
  • External investor reporting and analysis, including half year and full year result presentations, ASX releases, and any other investor updates as necessary
  • Manage the month end process from an FP&A perspective for the consolidated group, ensuring that financial results are accurate, and reports are released with valuable, data-led insight to business performance
  • Manage the planning and forecasting processes for the consolidated group, including communication and coordination on key deliverables, timelines and process along with management of the planning platform including input and output of key datasets and reports and consolidation of regional and departmental submissions
  • Liaison with the Data and Insights team to ensure integrity and maintenance of key datasets
  • Partner with departmental Group Executive team members, providing financial support through delivery of regular reporting and analysis to enable operational excellence, including:
    • Manage the month end process for the function including ensuring that financial results are accurate, risks and opportunities are flagged and reports are released with meaningful insights to performance
    • Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for the function
    • Prepare business cases to support investment opportunities along with ongoing ROI analysis of outcomes
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements across finance processes including leveraging technology to enhance reporting capabilities, planning, and month end process
  • Effective leadership and collaboration across Finance and the broader business to develop relationships and deliver business outcomes

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information in concise and practical way
  • High degree of expertise in critical analysis, problem solving, financial modelling
  • Proven ability to build relationships with and influence a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to make an impact and ability to identify, model and be a champion for growth
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Minimum of 7 years professional experience in Finance related functions, Commercial Finance, Decision Support or FP&A
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified and Big 4 background preferred with advanced MS Excel and Powerpoint skills
