Position Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Lab Technician specializing in Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Hematology to join our growing laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience performing complex diagnostic tests using both manual and automated laboratory equipment while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and patient care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily laboratory operations while ensuring adherence to laboratory procedures, quality standards, and turnaround time commitments.

• Prepare, process, and analyze patient samples across Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Hematology departments.

• Perform complex diagnostic testing using manual and automated laboratory instruments with a high level of accuracy and precision.

• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Conduct quality control checks and monitor test accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

• Analyze, interpret, and document test findings accurately for medical review and reporting.

• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior laboratory staff on laboratory procedures and best practices.

• Assist in developing and improving laboratory protocols, workflows, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety guidelines, SOPs, NABL requirements, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper documentation within laboratory workspaces.

• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.

• Participate in continuous learning and professional development initiatives to stay updated with advancements in diagnostic testing.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or a related laboratory science discipline.

• Proven experience of 6–8 years as a Lab Technician or Senior Lab Technician in a diagnostic laboratory environment.

• Strong expertise in Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Hematology testing.

• Demonstrated experience handling both manual and automated laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.

• Strong understanding of laboratory quality control procedures, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and support junior laboratory staff.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business operations.
