The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This role is based (hybrid) in Munich or Berlin and requires fluency in German language.

Partner Management at Personio is more than building out our partner network, it is an integral part of our growth strategy! The Partnerships team develops our partner network across Europe in reach and depth to generate business for Personio, complement our product offering with partner services and strengthen our brand through long-term relationships.

You will be responsible for developing an existing partner portfolio commercially and strategically to accelerate Personio’s growth in DACH. This is a quota-carrying position focusing on partner sales motions and creating sustainable “win-win” business opportunities for both, our partners & Personio.

You will work closely with the rest of the partnerships team, and also with the sales and marketing teams in the DACH market.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
  • Work strategically in identifying commercial opportunities within your partner portfolio (& beyond) by developing joined business plans for strategic partnerships and segmenting your portfolio accordingly

  • Collaborate with partners to co-create compelling solutions that address client needs and drive acquisition of our HR SaaS platform.

  • Develop and implement joint go-to-market (GTM) plans with partners, including co-marketing initiatives, sales training, and enablement programs.

  • Plan and run (co-hosted) partner events and activities and manage partner marketing communications with support from Personio marketing, within budgetary guidelines and deadlines

  • Evaluate performance of partnership activities and adapt them accordingly

  • Collaborate closely with the DACH Marketing and Sales teams


Important KPIs in this role include:

  • Lead Gen: PQLs

  • Volume: Partner-generated Pipeline, Partner-generated MRR and Customers

  • Depth: Partner Portfolio Transactionality

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
  • You are ambitious, commercially-minded and able to make trade offs on time and investments to leverage projects and partnerships for maximum impact to Personio

  • You bring an entrepreneurial, strategic mindset and the willingness to think from first principles to develop business cases for ‘first-of-their-kind’ partnership opportunities

  • You communicate clearly, manage to win trust with business partners and are able to generate excitement in others

  • You have 5+ years combined work experience in Partner management, Sales (Account Executive/ Sales Development Representative), Channel Sales management, as a Digitization Consultant or Strategy Consultant (ideally with Go-to-market experience)

  • Ideally you have worked in Partnerships within the “Tech Industry” before and have experience in designing and executing partner sales motions

  • You bring SaaS experience and/or a strong interest in software technology. Personal experience in working in or with consulting businesses definitely is a plus

  • You ideally already understand the HR tech landscape and have worked in this industry previously

  • You are fluent in German & English

  • You are willing to travel regularly within DACH.
