The Interest Management Squad is one of Pismo's newest squads and translates innovation into financial services. Through cutting-edge technologies, the team excels in delivering a best-in-class solution for investment products for global clients.

What you'll do

  • Design the overall architecture of the applications in collaboration with the team;
  • Guarantee that all important information is documented in terms of processes, architecture, sequence diagrams, use cases, team management, etc;
  • Track system metrics in terms of availability, performance, errors, and SLO, as well as act quickly to address any deviation;
  • Manage and control technical debts and engineering backlog;
  • Helping the team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and stability;
  • Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their work;
  • Track quality and performance on software engineering metrics, guaranteeing full coverage of unit and integrated tests;
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production;
  • Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc;
  • Manage an engineering squad performing activities such as conducting 1:1, providing regular feedback, generating individual development plans, and motivating and coaching the team members; this includes managing team members overseas, mainly in India.
  • Work together with the Product Manager to define the future of the Interest management platform;
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale;
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation aiming to deliver the best financial products in the world.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid experience as Engineering Manager/Tech Lead on companies where the technology is the Core;
  • Highly skilled in Data platform technologies as a former developer, as well as leading a team of software engineers in the Data Platform for high-volume applications using tools like Sparks, Data Brinks and Airflow;
  • Solid experience with Python and Java
  • Experience with AWS, mainly: S3, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, serverless (Lambda), Kinesis, Messaging (SNS, SQS), EventBridge;
  • Experience with K8S;
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools and deploy pipeline's best practices;
  • Desirable experience with Golang;
  • Desirable experience with financial services.
