Summary
We are looking for an experienced sales engineer with deep knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand marketplaces. This person would have a background in card processing, core banking, and payments with thorough knowledge of modern cloud native solutions. This person will have worked for or delivered solutions to financial institutions, including banking and fintech.
What you'll do
- Understanding customer needs and aligning product offerings with their requirements.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
- Conducting product demonstrations and delivering compelling presentations to showcase the value of our solutions.
- Collaborating with the sales team to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Contributing to sales strategies, pricing decisions and contract negotiations based on technical considerations.
- Manage and respond to prospect RPF’s to completion
- Attending conferences, lectures, seminars, and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.
- Writing reports and liaising with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
- Simplifying technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
- Memorising technical product specifications and keeping up to date with new company products as well as industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Needs to have a minimum of 5 years Sales Engineering and or Solution Architectural experience
- Solid understanding of Card Issuing and at least one of the following domains: core banking and payments.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, across multiple time zones.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Comfortable working in a scale-up environment, being able to think strategically, have a can-do attitude and self-motivate.
- Ability to drill-down to details and manage difficult conversations, when necessary.
- Minimum knowledge of how modern clouds native systems work.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
