Role Overview

The Vice President of End User Technology will lead the global strategy and execution for end-user platforms and services, ensuring Visa’s workforce has a seamless, secure, and intelligent technology experience. This role demands a visionary leader who can harness emerging technologies—including Generative AI (GenAI), automation, and open extensible platforms—to deliver transformative solutions that scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and execute the global End User Technology strategy, integrating AI-driven capabilities to enhance productivity, personalization, and support.
    • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring platforms deliver exceptional user experience and operational resilience.
  • Innovation & AI Integration
    • Drive adoption of Generative AI and advanced automation for self-service, predictive support, and intelligent workflows.
    • Explore and implement AI-powered analytics for proactive monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity forecasting.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure the resiliency, security, and scalability of corporate IT services through continuous automation and intelligent monitoring.
    • Oversee risk management, identity and access controls, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Organizational Transformation
    • Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and collaboration across global teams and business partners.
    • Develop and mentor high-performing teams, building deep engineering expertise and leadership capability.
  • Technology Governance
    • Establish standards and governance for technology acquisitions and integrations, ensuring stability and risk mitigation.
    • Align global vendor strategy and network architecture with long-term business objectives.
  • Financial & Performance Management
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives while evaluating emerging technologies for strategic advantage.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s/MBA/JD/MD), or 8+ years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise IT, including managing globally distributed teams within a Fortune 500 organization.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale IT transformations, with emphasis on end-user experience, AI-driven innovation, and automation.
• Deep expertise in multi-OS environments (Windows, macOS, Linux, Mobile) and workstation hardware ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), voice/video collaboration platforms, and cloud-based productivity solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft, Cisco, and other enterprise-grade technologies, complemented by knowledge of open extensible platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate Generative AI and automation into end-user services for predictive support, self-service, and intelligent workflows.
• Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, ISO27001/27002).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
• Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for executive stakeholders.
• Experience in strategic vendor management, global technology governance, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ITIL, Six Sigma, and modern DevOps practices.
• Highly self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to drive innovation, exercise independent judgment, and deliver results under changing priorities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 235,700 to 409,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
