Job Description

The US Marketing Services team part of the North America Marketing organization is transforming how we partner with clients to become the marketing partner of choice with our clients who include financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and processors. The team continues to experience exceptional growth and to support this growth is introducing new marketing technology platforms and solutions for our clients to build sophisticated, class leading marketing programs. The Director, Performance Marketing Lead will act as subject matter expert on Visa’s martech solutions and work across clients and teams to support the rollout and implementation of these platforms. Reporting to the Senior Director of Practice Development, the Director will focus on partnering with members of the team to design and implement marketing programs that maximize the capabilities of these new platforms and drive revenue and client success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Marketing Services team on Visa’s new client-facing marketing technology platform (known as “Visa Marketing 360 or VM360”).
  • Train and support marketers in understanding and applying VM360’s capabilities, including predictive segmentation, personalization at scale, journey orchestration, and automated optimization.
  • Partner with marketers to design and implement marketing strategies that leverage VM360’s AI, VisaNet transaction data, and client data for targeted, personalized campaigns.
  • Guide the setup and deployment of omni-channel campaigns and event-triggered messaging across the customer lifecycle, and advise on audience segmentation, channel selection, and campaign timing to maximize engagement and ROI.
  • Support the development and delivery of educational materials, workshops, and best practices sharing on building successful campaigns and leverage martech tools.
  • Provide guidance on structuring testing and iterative improvements to enhance campaign effectiveness and on how to use VM360’s analytics and reporting tools to monitor campaign performance, identify insights, and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Services BD and account teams to identify opportunities where VM360 can drive client marketing outcomes.
  • Support business development efforts by showcasing VM360’s capabilities to prospective and existing clients, and participate in client pitches, solution demonstrations, and proposal development to secure new engagements leveraging VM360.
  • Support collaboration with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) and other internal partners to align segmentation and targeting approaches.
  • Act as a bridge between the Marketing Services team, Global Marketing Services, VCA, and other internal partners to ensure cohesive use of data and targeting solutions.
  • Communicate results, learnings, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. ​

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Significant experience in marketing in financial services or payments space, including financial services, fintechs, processors or merchants
  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing using offline and digital channels
  • Hands-on experience with using marketing automation, personalization, and analytics platforms to develop, implement, optimize and report on complex multi-channel campaigns
  • Excellent communication and training skills; ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Familiarity with AI-driven marketing solutions and hands on experience leading marketing analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making
  • Successful in operating in a fast-paced highly matrixed organizations
  • Accomplished at building trusted relationships with cross-functional team members key stakeholders business leaders and clients
  • Ability to structure manage and coordinate complex projects across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence in a highly matrixed organization
  • Work with limited direction usually within a complex and ambiguous environment to drive fact-based recommendations solutions and decisions
  • Leadership experience working in agency and or consulting roles involving the development and delivery of comprehensive multi-channel marketing programs
  • Strong executive presence excellent written and verbal communication skills experience engaging with Executive and C-level suite audiences
  • Expert on all Microsoft products including Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 178,300.00 to 258,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
