Job Description

In the EMEA payroll team, we are responsible for the salaries of our colleagues from 34 countries in EMEA. We serve approximately 6,000 employees in, among others, Poland Denmark, Austria, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Israel, Sweden, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the Middle East countries.

Our mission? To deliver compliant, efficient, and employee-focused payroll services that support Rockwell Automation's and Cubic global success. Each team member brings specialized expertise in areas such as local payroll legislation, project management, process improvement, and data analysis—ensuring both compliance and continuous enhancement of our payroll services. We're now looking for a Payroll Process Auditor to help us elevate our audit and compliance capabilities.

You will report to the EMEA Regional Payroll Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Audit & Compliance
    • Legislative Monitoring: Stay up to date with payroll legislation across EMEA.
    • Policy Alignment: Recommend updates to ensure compliance with legal and internal standards.
    • Audit Leadership: Plan, lead, and report on internal payroll audits.

Risk & Controls

  • Internal Controls: Evaluate and enhance payroll control frameworks.
  • Risk Management: Develop regional risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with Risk teams.

Process & Technology

  • Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Tech Integration: Leverage automation tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Audit teams.
  • Executive Reporting: Present findings and insights to leadership.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

We're looking for someone who brings a mix of analytical rigor, process excellence, and a passion for compliance. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Education & Experience: Master's degree in Finance or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Payroll Audit & Analysis: Hands-on experience with payroll audits and data analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to optimize payroll operations, both in-house and outsourced.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of GDPR, SOX, and internal controls.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with HR, Finance, Audit, and Payroll teams.
  • Ownership & self -drive: Willingness to foster collaboration with a recommendation for enhancement of a process
  • International Exposure: Comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Tech Skills: Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and payroll automation tools.
  • Languages: Fluent in Polish and English.
  • Work Approach: Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable—leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance payroll processes and drive continuous improvement in dynamic environments.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with global payroll platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP).
  • Exposure to multinational or matrix organizations.
