Works cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to: validate compliance with customer specifications, Rockwell Automation product standards, and global standards (IEC/ANSI/UL), produce complete engineering documentation (electrical and mechanical) enabling manufacturing and achieve schedule, quality, and cost targets.

This role bridges application/pre-order activities (specification review, clarifications, pre-order drawings/BOM) and post-order execution, ensuring design integrity and traceability through internal systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will act as technical lead for MCC & MV Drives scope on assigned orders, owning the technical solution end-to-end;
  • Review and interpret specifications and project documentation; identify gaps, risks, and required clarifications to ensure full compliance with customer requirements and global standards (IEC, ANSI, UL);
  • Produce and/or validate deliverables: Electrical: single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, interconnections, device lists; Mechanical: footprints/layouts, sheet-metal arrangements, accessories; BOM: item selection (including alternates), datasheets, and assembly instructions.
  • Load and maintain BOMs in SAP, ensuring accuracy and traceability (as-sold / as-designed / as-built);
  • Coordinate technical interfaces with suppliers (e.g., circuit breakers, relays, capacitors, thermal and arc fault detection systems) to assure feasibility and conformity;
  • Support internal and customer meetings (kick-offs, design reviews, technical clarifications, FAT support as required) and prepare Minutes of Meetings and technical notes;
  • Support Production in interpreting the project and clarifying technical questions;
  • Provide hands-on support to Quality, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Production for issue resolution and customer complaints, maintaining compliance with policies and standards;
  • Support Commercial/Proposals on key opportunities (technical guidance, pre-order drawings, BOM estimates, assumptions/exceptions);
  • Drive continuous improvement by creating tools, checklists, and templates that reduce cycle time and improve project execution quality;
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations (processes, solutions, products);
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Designers to ensure alignment between schematics, layouts, and BOMs;
  • Participate in Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, and standard work activities in engineering/application.

The Essentials – You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or similar);
  • Advanced English; Spanish (Intermediate or Advanced preferred);
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical; PTC Creo or other 3D CAD software (preferred);
  • Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
  • 3+ years in panel design/application (MCCs, LV systems, or MV drives);
  • Practical knowledge of basic electrical circuits, reading schematic drawings, and applying global standards relevant to MCC/MV Drives (IEC/ANSI/UL).
  • Familiarity with circuit breakers, protective relay systems, AC motors, VFDs, Soft Starters, Direct-On-Line starters, and PLCs;
  • Technical: Electrical schematics, device selection, BOM management, PLM/ERP systems, global standards compliance.
