Job Description
Responsible for creating and/or modifying mechanical designs for Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, Rockwell Automation standards, and applicable Standard IEC. Works in an Engineering-to-Order (ETO) environment, collaborating with Supply Chain, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to deliver complete documentation for manufacturing and meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform 3D modeling (PTC Creo) and 2D detailing of MCC assemblies, including layouts, sheet-metal parts, accessories, and assembly instructions;
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP, ensuring accuracy and traceability;
- Critically analyze customer requirements and propose design improvements;
- Support Production in interpreting the project and clarifying technical questions;
- Implement drawing changes based on inputs from customer/factory/Quality, ensuring traceability through the company's current system;
- Interact with suppliers to ensure technical feasibility of mechanical components;
- Organize and archive documentation according to internal procedures (Windchill/SharePoint/others);
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in processes and CAD libraries.
The Essentials – You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields;
- Proficiency in PTC Creo (advanced) and Windchill (preferred);
- Advanced English; Intermediate Spanish (preferred);
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and SAP (preferred).
- + 3 years in electrical panel design for MCCs;
- 3D modeling of electrical panels; basic knowledge of busbar sizing.
- Technical: 3D CAD, electrical drawing interpretation, PLM (Windchill) and ERP (SAP);
- Support electrical engineers in executing electrical projects when necessary;
- Participate in Kaizen events and Lean projects related to engineering.
