Job Description
Project Engineer – Electrical
Pune/Noida - India
As a Project Engineer – Electrical, you will contribute to global engineering initiatives by designing schematic circuits for Medium Voltage (MV) Motor Control Centre (MCCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This role involves transforming Engineered-to-Order (ETO) solutions into Configured-to-Order (CTO) standard product profiles. Reporting to the Team Lead/Execution Manager, you will be part of the Global Engineering & Business Services group in India, supporting regional Rockwell Automation offices. This is a hybrid position with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, based in Pune or Noida.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze functional requirements for ETO MV MCCs and MV Drives and develop schematic circuits using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Integrate schematics with engineering tools, generate Bills of Material (BOM), perform compliance checks, and provide updates to global stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure version control for all schematics across global platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify challenges, propose innovative automation solutions, and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to international engineering standards (NEC, UL, CSA, IEC) by consistently applying them throughout the design process.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's in electrical / Electronics
- Relevant Experience of more than 3-5 years in Hardware Designing for MV/LV MCC, Electrical knowledge and Automation Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Strong understanding of VFDs, Soft Starters , DOL & S/D Starters, Intelligent Motor Control, and safety product system design.
- Expertise in electrical component selection, busbar sizing, heat and load calculations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international design and manufacturing standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Written and Verbal).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience in designing VFDs, MV switchgears, PCCs, and MCCs
- Exposure to complete project life cycle from design to commissioning.
- Proficiency in SAP documentation and part management.
- Industry and application knowledge, training skills, and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and EHS principles.
Experience with Creo software.
