Job Description

Perform several SMT (Surface Mount Technology) assembly operations on electronic boards. Operate automated and semi-automated SMT equipment and follow defined methods and sequences of operations for component placement, solder paste application, reflow soldering, and visual inspection. Work according to technical documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.

Reporting to the PCB Assembly and Testing Manager. Located in Italy, Artegna.

The SMT Assembly Operator performs multiple activities related to the assembly of electronic printed circuit boards using SMT processes. You will operate SMT production lines, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring correct component placement and soldering quality following defined procedures.

We ask that you attention to detail, good manual and technical skills, and the ability to work with automated equipment and technical documentation. The operator executes production tasks while maintaining high quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform SMT assembly operations on electronic boards
  • Operate and monitor SMT production equipment (e.g. screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens)
  • Follow defined methods, sequences, and work instructions for SMT processes
  • Load components, materials, and feeders according to production requirements
  • Perform basic setup, adjustments, and changeovers on SMT lines
  • Conduct visual inspections and first-level quality checks on assembled boards
  • Work according to technical documentation, production orders, and quality standards
  • Identify and report process deviations, defects, or equipment issues to the Manager
  • Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and housekeeping standards
  • Collaborate with the PCB Assembly and Testing team to meet production targets and quality goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum vocational education
  • Manual skills and attention to detail
  • Accuracy, diligence, and reliability in task execution
  • Follow procedures and technical documentation
  • Willingness to work in a shift system
