Job Description
The Master Production Scheduler maximizes customer service and inventory efficiency in our global distribution centers, by translating us S&OP into a workable master production schedule for Rockwell Automation's factories. The master production schedule is leading for the requirement- and capacity planning on purchased/manufactured components and the workforce in the plant. Establishing the master schedule will involve working with several main teams. These teams include Production Control Analysts, Production and Inventory Managers, Demand Managers, and Materials Analysts. The goal of this collaboration is to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve our goals. These goals relate to customer service, resource/capacity use, and inventory investment. Its functionality offers a unique opportunity to plan and control the full supply chain network of the master production scheduler's assigned department, and implement improvement projects through the entire supply chain network.
You may include travel to The Netherlands and other international Rockwell Automation locations across the globe.
Your Responsibilities:
- Managing the material requirements planning such that the aggregate output each week is following the S&OP
- Working with the Production Control Analysts and Manufacturing Engineers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short-term/long-term capacities to minimize past due orders and overtime
- Working with Demand Managers to determine:- We determine the proper mix of products to produce on a monthly basis for an 18-month period- We provide Materials Planning Support for new product introductions- We develop achievable product phase out plans to minimize excess and obsolete liability
- Working with plant's Finance team to understand the impact master scheduling has on the plant's financials
- Tracking and managing the accuracy and effectiveness of the master production schedule to rationally adjust forecast and to improve the master production scheduling process
- Tracking, reporting the important Goals is important. This includes suggesting and implementing plant-specific improvement activities. These activities must monitor actual performance against the MPS and production plan. You must also provide a summary of operation results for management.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on missed customer service and inventory inaccuracies, and lead action plans to recovery
- Support global deployment of materials execution strategies, and finds and collaborates on global improvements in supply chain planning
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in materials planning, analyzing data related to product forecasting, master scheduling, asset management, or shipment forecasting.
- Make decisions with limited time and information.
- Experience with statistical analysis techniques.
- Interpersonal skills, independent problem resolution, proven leadership ability necessary to be across departments and levels, and the ability to manage the requirement of others not directly supervised.
- Proficient software and PC skills, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Global business proficiency and understanding.
- Experience with SAP
- APICS – CPIM certification
