Job Description

We are looking for an experienced RF (Radio Frequency) and wireless/cellular engineer to join our growing Networks organization with an eye towards bringing new wireless IoT solutions to the industrial sector.

You will help with the design, test and delivery of new private 5G and WiFi solutions built specifically for the Industrial IoT market. You will work on the latest technology and be an important contributor to the development of IoT devices to change the way factories and plants operate. This role is for someone that works very well in a collaborative environment working with all partners and someone who has a team-first mindset.

You will report to the Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Help develop Advanced Wireless (5G, WiFi and other technologies) user equipment specifically for Industrial IoT applications, using existing antennas, transceivers, and other RF components
  • Develop test plans and Conduct simulations and tests to validate the performance of Advanced Wireless for Industrial IoT applications
  • Be the technical lead for Wireless | Cellular IoT Networking products
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams, Business Teams, Customers as well Commercial Marketing and R&D-focused teams to help develop comprehensive Wireless IoT Solutions
  • Build relationships with product management and strategic partners to turn requirements into valuable technical solutions
  • Analyze and debug complex RF and wireless/cellular issues in the context of Industrial IoT applications
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Industrial IoT, 5G/WiFi and networking technologies and bring new ideas and innovations to the team
  • Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Travel up to 10% of the time

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Wireless communication
  • 5+ years of Network/Test Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting wireless network implementations
  • Knowledge of wireless standards and protocols
    • 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7), Channel bonding, OFDMA, MU‑MIMO; Roaming (802.11r/k/v);
    • Core network concepts (EPC, 5GC), 5G NR (NSA/SA), LTE, LTE‑Advanced, Carrier aggregation, dual connectivity, Network slicing
  • Expert-level technical background in High-complexity Networking solutions and implementation strategies and understanding of IT and OT convergence.
  • Background in Test, specifically in testing of wireless networks
  • Hands‑on experience with industry tools (Traffic generators, channel emulators, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, WiFi analysis, packet capture)

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with Network management software and network diagnostics and utilities.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control products.
  • Experience in Software or Product Developmen
  • Proficiency in programming methods and scripting languages, with skills in Python
  • Security experienc
  • Experience with Advanced Wireless technology and the underlying wireless/cellular principles in the context of Industrial IoT applications
  • Knowledge of simulation and testing tools, such as Wireshark, Ekahau, Pathwave ADS, and experience testing Industrial IoT devices specifically wireless devices
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation Technologies such as Ethernet IP/CIP, ControlLogix, Stratix and Studio5000 is a definite plu
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Familiarity with 5G-ACIA is a plus
