Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

• The Localization Engineer Intern at Rockwell Automation supports localization engineering activities, including in‑context translation review and desktop publishing for localized products.
• Validate translation quality using automated scripts, rule‑based checks, and AI‑assisted evaluation tools for bilingual and multilingual files.
• Perform in‑context translation reviews to ensure linguistic accuracy, functional correctness, and an optimal user experience.
• Identify and resolve desktop publishing (DTP) issues in localized user manuals, ensuring layout consistency and compliance with publishing standards.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• You are pursing Bachelor's degree or above in Translation, Computational Linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in English with strong Japanese and/or Korean language capabilities.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Background in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Language Technology, or Translation Technology preferred
• Strong research mindset with a demonstrated interest in translation technology, artificial intelligence, and language models.
